Privacy Policy
The short version
This app has no account, no login and no server of its own. It never asks for your Social Security number, FSA ID, bank details, card number, password or one-time code. Everything you type into a calculator, tick on a checklist or bookmark stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
The one exception is advertising. The app shows adverts through Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects a device advertising identifier in order to serve them. That is described in full below, and it is the same answer given on the Play Data safety form.
1. Who publishes this app
Sofi Student Loan is published by an independent developer. The contact address for anything about this app, including this policy, is publish@cokroyudhodev.web.id.
2. Information the app does not collect
The app has no mechanism to gather any of the following, and never asks for them:
- Name, date of birth, postal address or phone number
- Social Security number, FSA ID, or any government identifier
- Bank account, debit or credit card details
- Passwords, PINs or one-time codes
- Your contacts, SMS messages, call logs, photos, files or precise location
- Your actual loan balances, servicer, repayment plan or credit record
The app requests exactly three Android permissions: INTERNET and
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, so it can fetch its advertising configuration, and
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID, which the advertising SDK requires. There
are no contacts, SMS, call log, storage, camera or location permissions of any kind.
3. Information stored on your device only
The app keeps a small amount of state locally, using Android's DataStore. None of it is transmitted anywhere, and none of it is readable by the developer:
- Whether you have seen the introduction
- Your light/dark appearance choice
- Which checklist items you have ticked, and which chapters you have read or bookmarked
- The last figures you entered into a calculator, so a screen reopens where you left it
- A launch counter and an advert-free window, both used only for advert pacing
- A cached copy of the advertising configuration file described in section 5
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
4. Advertising — the one thing that is collected
The app displays adverts supplied by Google AdMob. To serve, measure and frequency-cap those adverts, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares a device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), together with technical and diagnostic information such as device model, operating system version, coarse region and advert interaction events.

This is collected and processed by Google, not by the developer of this app. How Google uses it is set out in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
5. The advertising configuration file
On launch, and periodically while the app is open, it fetches a small JSON file over HTTPS that tells it which advert formats are switched on. The request carries no identifier of any kind — it is an ordinary anonymous HTTPS GET, and the response is cached on the device. No information about you is sent with it.
6. Your choices and controls
- Consent. Where local law requires it — the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other regulated regions — a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform appears before any advert is requested. You can reopen it at any time from Settings → Change or withdraw ad consent.
- Reset or delete the advertising ID. Android Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset the identifier or delete it entirely. Deleting it stops personalised advertising on your device across all apps.
- Delete everything this app stores. Uninstall it, or use Android Settings → Apps → Sofi Student Loan → Storage → Clear data.
7. Children
This app is not directed at children. It is not designed for or targeted at anyone under 13, it does not knowingly collect any information from children, and its Play listing is rated for adults. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, contact the address below — although, as set out above, the app has no mechanism to receive personal information in the first place.
8. Educational content, not advice
Every figure in this app is an estimate produced from publicly published rules, with its assumptions stated on screen. It is not financial, legal or tax advice, not an offer of credit, and not a quotation. The app does not accept loan applications, does not collect applicant details, and contains no link that lands on a loan application flow. Federal student aid is applied for only through the FAFSA form at studentaid.gov; a private loan is applied for with the lender directly.
9. Security
All network traffic uses HTTPS; cleartext traffic is disabled at the platform level. Because the app holds no account and transmits nothing about you, there is no personal data of yours in transit to intercept.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it and the updated version is published at this address before the corresponding app update is released.
